![]() G&K altered aspects of unit combat, implemented a religion/faith mechanic, and added some new civilizations to the game such as Byzantium, Carthage. The Fall of Rome scenario was added to Civilization 5 as part of the Gods and Kings expansion pack, the first major pack released for Civilization 5 that changed fundamental aspects of the game. Each lost city also gives you culture points. Additionally there are other culture buildings in larger cities as well. You have a Monument in each city and cannot destroy them. Winning this scenario depends mostly on the chosen civilization and the tactic: Playing as one of the Roman Empires, you most of all DON'T BUILD ANY CULTURE BUILDINGS. It is a Classical attack/defense scenario where you must 'Play as either Eastern Rome or Western Rome trying to fend off the barbarians, or as one of the barbarians themselves.' All of the civilizations are locked into war with each other, save Western Rome (the Romans) and Eastern Rome (the Byzantines), who. ![]() The Fall of Rome scenario is included in the Gods& Kings expansion for Civilization V. One Steam-Achievement that particularly drew my attention was “I Missed That Day in History Class” – Capture any Sassanid city as the Celts in the Fall of Rome scenario. As all Civ 5 Scenarios this scenarios comes with a lot of customizations and unique units and leader-abilities.
